We are a proud Made-in-India drone technology company. Years of R&D have made us industry leaders in swarm tech, and pioneers in drone light shows in India. In 2022, we made India the fourth ever country to host a drone show of 1000+ drones! We have dealt in firsts ever since - India’s Biggest Drone Show (2024), India’s first QR code in the sky (2022), and Africa’s Biggest Drone Show (of 2022). We have hosted more than 150 drone light shows worldwide, and have built a fleet of 6000+ drones, developed from 25,000+ hours of flight data. We excel at problem-solving across sectors specialising in defence and entertainment, with international awards to our name in drone light show storytelling.

Our mission is two-fold: to redefine innovation in Unmanned Aerial System applications, and to become a pioneer in the experiential entertainment industry through our drone light shows.

OUR FLIGHT PATH
Botlab Dynamics was incorporated in 2016, incubated in IIT-Delhi’s Technology Business Incubation Unit. There was a clear goal in the minds of our co-founders - Mr Tanmay Bunkar, Mr Anuj Kumar Barnwal and Dr Sarita Ahlawat - to create indigenous drone technology solutions, particularly enabling self-sufficiency in defence. We made national headlines with the 2022 Beating Retreat Ceremony, hosting a 1000-drone light show that made India the fourth nation to have hosted a show of this scale. We have not looked back since! Since then, we’ve created dazzling spectacles for events like the National Games, Northeast Olympic Games, Men’s Hockey World Cup, Tata IPL Opening Ceremony, and Startup20 Summit. We went on to host India’s biggest drone show with 3500 drones at Rashtrapati Bhawan in 2023 and then broke our own record with the country’s biggest drone show with 5500 drones in March 2024! In the coming year, we are charting even more international flight paths and connecting with more global communities. We are assured, audacious and ambitious. And why not? We align our own stars!
INDIGENOUS R&D
Our goal in building and designing our hardware, software and firmware completely in-house has been one thing above all - to provide homegrown tech solutions for an ambitious, ever-growing nation. Early on in our journey, we witnessed firsthand the failure of foreign components in our drones, and had an important realisation - we could not diagnose something we did not design! Soon, we had developed our own Flight Controller, Electronic Speed Controller, RTK GPS and ELRS Receiver, making a huge stride towards being 100% indigenous. Today, we are actively contributing to the Indian drone tech ecosystem, giving indigenous wings to the country’s Make in India mission.
